![]() Whenever it happens that I want to restore a backed up save file I get the following message: Or is this simply a bug? If so I'd like to use this opportunity to report it. "Okay, we understand why you as a player might want to create backups of your save files, but just to make sure you're not abusing this to make the game too easy we will, instead of restoring the last state saved in the savegame, restore you to the previous state contained in the backup." ![]() Is this 'intended' behavior to discourage the creation of external savegame backups for the purpose of undoing undesirable events in game? Like in: For whatever reason: Whenever I copy a backed up savegame back into to Darkest Dungeon savegame folder this error pops up. I tried it many times to make sure and did it with different backups created at different times. The thing I'm more interested in is the fact, that this happens consistently. nothing for which I'd mail the developers my savegame to manually repair it. ![]() So in total I only lost about three hours of gameplay. I had overlooked that there was a separate bug report subforum.Ībout the savegames: As I've said: My previous backup, which I created about two hours earlier, does show the same error message, but then correctly loads the internal "backup" which is one or two ingame weeks before the actual save state.
